Caldwell Jail’s Community Garden Offers Fresh Produce as Season Nears End

The Caldwell County Jail’s community garden still has some fresh produce available for local residents, but the season is nearing its end.

Jail Administrator Angela Cotton mentioned that while some produce is still available, it is dwindling.

For the past two summers, the Caldwell County Jail has maintained rural-urban gardens to help with its budget and provide fresh produce for its inmates. However, this summer, thanks to a generous donation of 5 acres of land from Highland Baptist Church, the jail expanded and established the community garden.
