Weekend Storms Could Bring 1-3 Inches of Rain

A little bit of rain last weekend in some spots still has parts of western Kentucky in drought-like conditions but that could change this weekend.

Paducah Weather Service Lead Forecaster Daniel Spaeth says the remnants of Tropical Storm Francine will move in a path near the Mississippi River and bring rain by Friday.

click to download audioHe says if the path lands east of the Mississippi River it would mean more rain for the Purchase and Pennyrile.

click to download audioHe says 1 to 3 inches of rain could arrive through the weekend which would bring relief for the area which is in moderate drought conditions.
