With the November General Election quickly approaching, Caldwell County Clerk Jennifer Hale provided crucial dates and information for voters at Tuesday morning’s Fiscal Court meeting.
Hale announced that the absentee ballot portal will open statewide on September 21.

click to download audioShe also provided the dates for the six-day excused absentee voting period at the Caldwell County Courthouse, as well as the dates for in-person no-excuse absentee voting at the Butler Gym.
click to download audioElection Day is on Tuesday, November 5, with polling hours from 6 AM to 6 PM. Hale said registered voters can cast their ballots at any of the four voting center locations.
click to download audioDistrict 4 Magistrate Jeff Simms inquired if Hale had any information about the language of the medical marijuana referendum that would appear on the ballot. Hale responded that she does have some information, but the state has not finalized the sample ballot yet, which will also include two amendments.
