A Princeton man has been indicted in connection to a fatal motorcycle wreck that claimed the life of his 15-month-old son.

The Caldwell County Grand Jury issued a true bill on 47-year-old Joseph Desmond Traylor on charges of murder, reckless driving and DUI.

The charges are from July 5 when Princeton Police reported an investigation revealed Traylor was driving a motorcycle the wrong way on a one-way street with his child strapped to his chest and attempted a wheelie before losing control of the motorcycle and hitting a telephone pole.

Traylor and the child, Terry Desmond Traylor, were both transported by ambulance to Caldwell Medical Center where the child was pronounced dead. Traylor was flown to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee.

Traylor was arrested on a warrant after being released from the hospital and remains lodged in the Caldwell County Jail.
