During this week’s Princeton City Council meeting, members received encouraging updates from the Planning Commission and the Caldwell County Animal Shelter, highlighting progress in residential development and community support for the animal shelter.
Planning Commission Administrator Jenny Clark announced that she has issued a few permits for the construction of new homes within the city.
click to download audioAdditionally, she reported that another contractor has begun construction on the initial section of homes on South Jefferson Street.
Furthermore, Clark mentioned that the Comprehensive Plan Committee will be convening to review maps and develop a community survey to get feedback on the future growth of Princeton.
click to download audioThe City Council also received an update from County Animal Shelter Director and Animal Control Officer Kevin Lane, who reported that they raised several hundred dollars for the shelter during Black Patch.
click to download audioLane also informed the council that he will be out of town from Tuesday through Friday next week and requested that the public limit animal control calls, except in cases involving vicious dogs, to give Dispatch a break until he returns.
