Friday night was homecoming for the Caldwell County football team and fans.
There is always an excitement for the community and win or lose the night brings back memories from past years from those in attendance. Friday night there was a big crowd present to hear the announcement of the homecoming queen and court, to hear the band perform and of course watch the football game. One select group of those in attendance were former football coaches and wives that shared their thoughts on being at the game as spectators instead of being on the field and there supporting their husbands.
Former head coach Pat Gates was sitting along side the field in a lawnchair and noted it was a lot more relaxing.

Former football player and coach Irl Stevens shared he had been coming to games and homecomings for a long time.
