Kenneth Darrell Cooper, age 69, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on September 19, 2024, in Dawson Springs, KY. Born on January 31, 1955, in Princeton, KY, Kenneth’s laughter and love for life were contagious to all who knew him.
Kenneth’s passion for fishing and his skills as a great cook brought joy to many gatherings. His playful spirit shone through as a trickster who loved picking on people, bringing smiles and unexpected joy to friends and family alike. Above all, his love for his grandkids was immeasurable, and he treasured every moment spent with them. A dedicated member of the Landmark Pentecostal Church, Kenneth’s love for his Lord was evident in his commitment to his church community. His funny and spirited nature will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Kenneth’s legacy of laughter and faith will continue to inspire those he has left behind.
Survivors include his beloved wife, Jamie Combs Cooper; daughters, Amanda (Shane) Parker of Florida, Leslie Hart of Princeton; sons, David Jones of Louisville, Terry James McCoy of Princeton; two sisters, Nancy (Perry) Wright of Princeton, Mary Hinton of Princeton; brothers, Roger (Liz) Choate of Princeton, Barry Hinton of Princeton; six grandchildren, June Shanks, Mason Parker, Lincoln Braxton Parker, Emerald Nikole Parker, Lilian Hart and Hailey Ann Hall; several loving nieces, nephews and cousins.
Kenneth is preceded in death by his parents, Cyrus Cooper and Minnie Kelly Harrell Choate Cooper Hinton; son, Dustin Kyle Cooper; brothers Adam Cooper and Tommy Choate.
Visitation for Kenneth Cooper will be held on Tuesday, September 24, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Morgan’s Funeral Home.
Funeral services will follow at 1:00 PM at Morgan’s Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Cornerstone Cemetery in Caldwell County.
