The Dawson Springs Rotary Club is teaming up with the Madisonville Rotary Club to collect donations from Hopkins County for the victims of the flooding devastation in Asheville, North Carolina caused by the remnants of Hurricane Helene.
In a social media post, Dawson Rotarians expressed their understanding of a strong Rotary Club’s vital role in communities during times of need. They emphasized that all funds collected will be sent directly to the Rotary Club in Asheville, North Carolina, to support their residents.
The Dawson Springs Rotary Club announced that it will match the first $1,200 in donations, recognizing the impact of natural disasters from their own experiences. The Rotarians also noted that the people of North Carolina have assisted them in rebuilding Dawson Springs on multiple occasions with several teams.
Unfortunately, the Dawson Rotarians mentioned that donations can only be accepted via PayPal. They said any changes to this will be updated in their social media post.
