Caldwell County Review Board Approves Officers, Schedule, and Ethics Code

The Caldwell County Review Board held a special meeting this week to appoint officers, approve a regular meeting schedule, and discuss the Code of Ethics and Bylaws.

Judge-Executive Kota Young told WPKY’s News Edge the board consists of seven members: five from the public and two from the Fiscal Court. At Monday night’s meeting, he said they approved the following officers for the Board:

click to download audioYoung explained that the County exercised its authority under state law to establish the Board, giving them a say in the construction and operation of solar farms within their jurisdiction.

click to download audioHe noted that the significant acreage being considered for solar development in Caldwell County prompted the Fiscal Court to pass the ordinance earlier this year.

click to download audioHe stated that the Board also approved adopting the County’s Code of Ethics.

According to Young, the Board will meet regularly on the second Monday of every third month at 6:00 PM in the Fiscal Courtroom at the Caldwell County Courthouse. If this falls on a holiday, he noted the meeting will be held on the next business day.
