Brad Purdy, age 76, of Henderson, KY and formerly of Dawson Springs, KY passed away on Monday, October 14, 2024 at the Lucy Smith King Care Center in Henderson, KY. Mr. Purdy was born on December 9, 1947 in Hopkinsville, KY to the late Dixon Bradley Purdy, Jr. and Enda Mullins Purdy. He worked for many years with Buckhorn Industries in Dawson Springs and retired from Rescare. Mr. Purdy was a member of Concord Baptist Church in Hopkinsville, KY and was an avid UK sports fan.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 40 years ~ Jenny Franklin Purdy of Henderson, KY; three daughters ~ DeeAnna (Richard) Hawkins of West Chester, OH, Jessica (Jon) Moore of Newburg, IN and Jade (Michael Lancaster) Purdy of Newburg, IN; a brother ~ Dan (Debbie) Purdy of Dawson Springs, KY; four grandchildren ~ Paige (Luke) Wagers, Brad Hawkins, Sydney Moore and Everly Lancaster; and four great-grandchildren ~ Lydia, Luke, Levi and Leah Wagers.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother ~ Gabe Purdy.
Visitation for Brad Purdy will be held Friday, October 18, 2024 from 11:00 AM until the funeral hour at 1:00 PM at Beshear Funeral Home in Dawson Springs, KY with Elder Jeff Winfrey officiating. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery in Dawson Springs, KY.
Pallbearers will be: Richard Hawkins, Rusty Purdy, Jon Moore, Brad Hawkins, Wes Purdy and Michael Lancaster.
