Niki Moore, 72, of Fredonia

Niki Lee Moore, age 72 of Fredonia, a cherished daughter, beloved wife, devoted mother, and proud grandmother, passed peacefully at her home in Fredonia Kentucky on October 15, 2024, after a short but courageous battle with cancer. Born on November 9, 1951, in Watertown, South Dakota, Niki was a radiant spirit whose passions and talents touched the lives of everyone around her.

Niki dedicated herself to a rewarding career as an interior design specialist, where her artistic flair and meticulous attention to detail shone brightly. She not only excelled in her field but also managed a team of sales representatives, inspiring those around her with her creativity and leadership. Her contributions to the industry were marked by a genuine love for her work, which resonated deeply with her clients and colleagues alike.

Beyond her professional life, Niki was a woman of diverse interests and boundless energy. She found joy in traveling, delighting in the exploration of new places and cultures. The beach was her sanctuary; the soothing sounds of the waves were music to her ears. Dancing, particularly ballroom dancing, filled her heart with joy and brought a smile to her face. Those who knew her will fondly remember her infectious laughter and the warmth of her smile, a true reflection of her vibrant spirit.

Niki valued community involvement and was an active supporter of the Red Cross and the Building Industry Association in San Diego. Her commitment to giving back was a testament to her generous heart and desire to make a positive impact in the world. She was of the Lutheran faith.

Niki is survived by her devoted spouse, Pat Moore, of 48 years, who shared her journey through life with unwavering love and support. She leaves behind her beloved daughters, Jami Phelps (John) of San Diego and Chelsea Marken of Marion, who were a source of pride and joy for her. Niki also cherished her family connections with her brother, Kim Simpson (Jeanie) of Piere, South Dakota, and her sisters, Becky Johnson of Dallas, Texas, and Twyla Knudsen of Phoenix, Arizona.

Her legacy lives on through her grandchildren, Kayla Campos, Andrew Gooch, Jake Phelps, Jenna Phelps, and her great-grandchild, Raphael Campos, who brought immense joy and meaning to her life.

Though Niki has been reunited with her deceased family members, including her father Donald Simpson, mother Beulah Simpson, and brother Larry Simpson, her vibrant spirit and the love she shared will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew her. Niki Lee Moore will be dearly missed and fondly remembered as a bright light whose impact on the world and those who loved her will never fade.
