Reminder: Dawson Springs Free Tree Giveaway for Tornado-Affected Residents Saturday

Officials with the City of Dawson Springs are reminding everyone about the tree distribution happening on Saturday.

According to city officials, a table will be set in the square where residents can receive assistance in getting their trees. They noted the free trees are available for residents of Dawson Springs, Caldwell County, and the surrounding areas impacted by the tornadoes.

The Kentucky Division of Forestry, with support from the Arbor Day Foundation’s Community Tree Program and State Farm, is distributing trees as part of an initiative to replace those lost in the December 2021 tornadoes.

The tree distribution event in Dawson Springs will take place from 9 AM to noon. Trees will be available on a first-come, first-served, with a limit of five trees per household.
