Two new Parent Care Rooms at Baptist Health Deaconess Madisonville’s Maternity Care department offer a home away from home space for parents with newborns in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU).
These rooms were made possible by the McEnaney Family McDonald’s, Ronald McDonald House Charities of Ohio Valley, and the Baptist Health Deaconess Madisonville Foundation.
Chris McEnaney, Owner-Operator of McEnaney Family McDonald’s, explains that these rooms offer a comfortable space for parents of newborns in the NICU to rest and recover.

Serving a rural area, Baptist Health Deaconess Madisonville’s new rooms are especially beneficial for parents who would otherwise travel long distances to visit their babies in the NICU.
McEnaney said they started there Round Up Program in late 2022, with the two locations in Hopkins County raising a combined nearly $250,000 to benefit families.
