The Kentucky League of Cities (KLC) has recognized the commitment of Princeton’s mayor and planning commissioner for their service with an award.

According to KLC officials, Princeton Mayor Brock Thomas and Planning Commissioner Bill Perry were each honored with a Level I Achievement in City Governance award.

The City Officials Training Center, managed by the Kentucky League of Cities, is a voluntary education program where city officials can achieve various education levels. Participants can earn credits by attending Kentucky League of Cities events and submitting external educational credits from other municipal training programs.

In a written statement, KLC Executive Director JD Chaney said that elected and appointed officials throughout Kentucky demonstrate their dedication to the cities they serve by actively participating in the City Officials Training Center. He stated that they are proud to provide a range of training opportunities that empower these leaders to better serve their citizens and strengthen their communities.

The KLC City Officials Training Center offers four tiers of recognition based on the number of training hours participants complete in city governance and ethics. KLC proudly honors city employees’ and elected officials’ commitment to public service.
