Andrew Steven Hickerson, age 74, of Dawson Springs passed away on Sunday, November 17, 2024 at his home. Mr. Hickerson was born on February 16, 1950 in Princeton, KY to the late Harold Hickerson and Wanna Elaine Lisanby Thomas. He was a member of Day Spring Assembly of God and retired from Warrior Coal Company after working 42 years in the coal mines. He was also a certified electrician.
Mr. Hickerson is survived by two daughters ~ Carol Elaine Dismang and Emily Jo (Kevin Lewis) Abbott both of Dawson Springs, KY; nine grandchildren ~ Steven Bearden, Nathan Bearden, Isiah Abbott, Christian Abbott, Charles Abbott, Emily Elizabeth Barnes, Seth Dismang, Alyssa Shaw and Colton Dismang; seven great-grandchildren ~ Greyson Cline, Sophia Bearden, Willow Abbott, Winnley Abbott, Breighlynn Bearden, Larkin Bearden and Adalynn Shaw.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife ~ Kathy Joe Hickerson (departed March 12, 2024); his step-father ~ Hoyt Thomas; his son ~ Jason Hickerson; two great-granddaughters ~ Paisley Abbott and Sage Dismang; and his brother ~ Richard Hickerson.
Visitation for Andrew Steven Hickerson will be Thursday, November 21, 2024 from 2:00 PM until the funeral hour at 4:00 PM at Beshear Funeral Home in Dawson Springs, KY with Rev. Dustin Glass officiating.
