Dawson Springs Set for Festive Weekend

Dawson Springs has a festive weekend of activities planned, beginning with a Christmas Bazaar on Friday.

According to Mayor Jenny Sewell, First Christian Church in Dawson will host its annual Christmas Bazaar.

click to download audioShe mentioned that Sunday afternoon will be packed with activities, including the Jingle & Mingle from 1:00 to 5:30, featuring special offerings at these sixteen participating shops.

click to download audioShe explained that visitors can collect a stamp card at any participating store and have it stamped for a chance to win a grand prize.

click to download audioDuring the Jingle & Mingle, Mayor Sewell announced that the Dawson Springs Horse-Drawn Old Fashioned Christmas Parade will start at 2:00 Sunday afternoon.

Then, at 5:30 on Sunday afternoon, a lighting ceremony and entertainment are planned in The Square.

click to download audioIn addition, Mayor Sewell noted that the annual Dawson Springs Christmas Parade will take place at 5:30 on Sunday afternoon, December 1, with the theme “Sounds of Christmas.” She added that all parade entries must be submitted to the City Clerk’s Office by November 26.
