The holiday spirit was alive and well in Dawson Springs as the community came together for its beloved annual Christmas parade on Sunday evening, filling the streets with festive cheer and creative displays.

This year’s Christmas parade, themed “Sounds of Christmas,” filled downtown Dawson Springs with festive music as kids and adults braved the cold weather conditions to line the streets and watch 31 creative entries, featuring floats, emergency vehicles, the Caldwell County High School Band, all-terrain vehicles, horses, and a horse-drawn carriage with Santa Claus.

Entries were judged before the start of the parade. City officials announced the winners:

– Best Vehicle: Fox Farm
– Best Emergency Vehicle: Nebo Fire Department
– Best Float: Parkway Saddle Club
– Best Band: Dawson Springs High School Band
– Best Golf Carts/All-Terrain: Side by Sides Friends Off-Road
– Royal Main Street Trophy for Best Show: Dunn Missionary Baptist Church

The parade began at 5:30 and wrapped up around 6:00. Afterward children and their families were invited to the library for photos with Santa and some hot cocoa.
