An Eddyville woman is facing a second felony charge of perjury within a year following her arrest on a warrant last week.

Lyon County Sheriff Brent White reported 47-year-old Tamara Gipson was taken into custody last Tuesday on a Lyon County District Court complaint warrant charging her with first-degree perjury, a Class D felony. He said Gipson is accused of committing perjury during a juvenile court hearing when she testified to material, false statements, about a plea hearing which happened in a related Lyon Circuit Court case, after first being sworn and given a warning about perjury from a District Court judge.

According to Sheriff White, this is the second perjury charge against Gipson in the last twelve months. He said Gipson was indicted by a Lyon County grand jury for an unrelated offense of first-degree perjury in December of 2023. He noted that Gipson was convicted of this crime in August 2024.

Following Gipson’s arrest last week, she was lodged in the Crittenden County Detention Center.
