The Caldwell County Grand Jury issued multiple indictments during its December session, including on charges for drug possession and drug trafficking.

.A true bill was returned on Brandon Earl Anderson of Princeton on charges of first-degree possession of a controlled substance – meth, trafficking marijuana firearm enhanced, second-degree trafficking in a controlled substance firearm enhanced, two counts of illegal possession of a legend drug, and possession of drug paraphernalia. However, the grand jury returned a no-true bill and dismissed the initial charges of first-degree possession of a controlled substance and second-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, both of which were firearm-enhanced.

The charges are from an incident on September 19, when Princeton Police responded to a report of a man, later identified as Anderson, in a truck who had allegedly pointed a gun at several people at the American Inn. Police reported that Anderson was located in the truck parked at Tractor Supply, where he was found in possession of firearms, various illicit drugs, and drug paraphernalia.

Billy Don Waynick of Princeton was indicted on charges of first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance – meth first offense, no or expired registration plates, operating on a suspended or revoked operator’s license, improper registration plate, possession of drug paraphernalia, failure of non-owner to maintain required insurance – subsequent offense, and first-degree persistent felony offender.

Waynick was arrested on October 8 after Princeton Police stopped him on Hopkinsville Street, knowing he had a suspended driver’s license. During the stop, police said Waynick could not provide insurance and a records check revealed the vehicle was not registered. Police also said they found five baggies of suspected meth and drug paraphernalia.

Waynick was taken into custody by Madisonville Police last week on an indictment warrant issued by Caldwell County Circuit Court.

Brian Keith Andrews of Princeton was indicted on charges of first-degree possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The charges are from September 10 when Princeton Police responded to a disturbance of a man with a gun near the 600 block of North Jefferson Street. Following an investigation, police said Andrews was arrested after he was found in possession of meth, marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Austin Feltner of Princeton was issued a true bill on a charge of first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance—meth, subsequent offense—stemming from an incident on February 19.

WPKY’s News Edge will provide more indictments returned by the grand jury last week in the coming days.
