Violet Sanders Salyers, age 73, of Princeton, KY passed away on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, at Baptist Health of Paducah.
Violet was born on July 17, 1951, in Caldwell County, KY to her late father Audrey Sanders and mother and step-father, Bobbie Louise (John T.) Darnell. For twenty-five years, Violet left an impact on thousands of children as she safely transported them as a bus driver for the Caldwell County School District. Violet loved her family and cherished time spent with them. She enjoyed painting ceramics and shopping. Violet could often be found riding the trike, side-by-side or tagging along on the golf cart. She was a member and attended Southside Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Johnny Salyers; daughter, Tammy Easley of Princeton; brother, Morse (Linda) Sanders of Dawson Springs; brother-in-law, Jim Salyers of Benton; several nieces, nephews and special friends.
In addition to her parents, Violet is preceded in death by her son-in-law, Jerrod Easley.
Visitation for Violet Salyers will be held on Friday, December 13, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Morgan’s Funeral Home in Princeton.
Funeral services will follow at 1:00 PM at Morgan’s Funeral Home with Bro. Kyle Noffsinger officiating. Burial will follow in Lance Nichols Cemetery in Caldwell County.
