Cedar Bluff Baptist Church Hosted Annual Bethlehem Walk-Through

If you drove out Hopkinsville Road recently at night as you passed Cedar Bluff Baptist Church you could see lights shining behind the building, some smoke rising into the air, and possibly sounds of animals or people talking.

When you approached the action you would find a city created that gave a possible insight into what Bethlehem may have been like the night Jesus was born. Pastor Mark Faughn and the church membership had prepared a walk-through experience to remind everyone about that night in Bethlehem.

When you entered the town you would register for the census and then walk around visiting the various shops selling goods and then come to the center of attention being a manger. Chadd and Kayla Morris portrayed Mary and Joseph, Chadd shared it was a blessing to be a part of the presentation.

click to download audioJoann and Zeak Jamison were playing the part of shop owners and she expressed it was good to be able to share about the birth of Jesus.

click to download audioAs you left Bethlehem Pastor Faughn explained how the baby went on to the cross and gave away information. He then invited everyone to stop by the fellowship hall for a meal and refreshments. Rhonda Stone was working with the food and shared that providing the meal was another way for them to show God’s love and reach out to the community.

click to download audioStone added that the church members prepared the food and brought it to the church first of all for the guests but then after the night was completed the workers came together to eat and discuss the activities of the night.
