A Princeton Police Department investigation resulted in drug and weapons charges against 41-year-old Jeremy McWaters on Sunday.
The police report said officers were in the area of Shepardson Street and Harrison Street and observed McWaters in possession of a handgun. Because the officers knew McWaters was a convicted felon, they detained him for further investigation.
Police said McWaters, who was living in an RV camper, had marijuana and a pair of brass knuckles in his possession.
While being processed at the jail, police said McWaters dropped a baggie of suspected methamphetamine.
McWaters was charged with possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, possession of marijuana, carrying a concealed deadly weapon by a convicted felon, and possession of a controlled substance.
