Chester Moore, age 81 of Princeton, a devoted husband, passionate musician, and beloved member of his community, passed away on December 21, 2024, at his residence. He was born on April 9, 1943, in Fredonia, Kentucky, the cherished son of Limbert and Tylene Moore, who have preceded him in death.
Chester’s life was a tapestry woven with music and faith. An ardent lover of Bluegrass music, he found joy in playing the guitar and sharing his talents through song. His musical endeavors were not just a hobby but a profound part of who he was, bringing light and happiness to all those around him. Chester was known for his skillful guitar playing, often entertaining friends and family with heartfelt performances.
His faith was equally significant, as he attended Christ Tabernacle in Princeton, Kentucky, where he built lasting friendships and connections within the church community. Chester’s spirit resonated with kindness and camaraderie, as he embraced the values of love and togetherness.
Chester is survived by his devoted wife of 31 years, Wanda Glass Moore, whose steadfast support and companionship were fundamental to his life’s journey. He leaves behind a family that adored him, including his step-son, Ben Glass (Lisa), and step-son Kent Glass, as well as step-daughter Angie King, all of Princeton. Additionally, he cherished his brothers, Lester Moore (Lisa), Claude “Mousey” Moore (Martha), and Leonardo Moore, who will carry on his legacy of love and music. Chester was also a proud grandfather to Barbara May Glass, James Marvin Glass, Jonathan Wayne Glass, Laura Michelle King, and Garrett King, who brought immense joy to his life.
Chester Moore will be remembered not only for his musical talents and dedication to his faith but also for his unwavering love for his family and friends. He leaves behind a legacy of warmth, compassion, and joy that will continue to inspire those who knew him. His presence will be greatly missed, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to cross paths with him.
