Jacob Martin, 25, of Eddyville

Jacob “J-Mart” Martin, age 25, of Eddyville, formerly of Princeton, passed away on Sunday, December 22, 2024, in Caldwell County, Kentucky.

Born on May 19, 1999, in Crittenden County, Kentucky, he was a loving father, son, brother and friend. A proud graduate of Caldwell County High School’s class of 2017, Jacob’s passion for the football field was evident. He began his career at Hydro-Gear, where his work ethic and camaraderie were highly valued. In 2024, he made the switch to become a carbon setter at Century Aluminum in Sebree. Beyond his professional life, Jacob had an insatiable passion for concerts, an enthusiasm for working on cars, and a love for four-wheeling that was contagious. Many who knew J-Mart, knew him for his passion and prowess in the CrossFit community as a member of Lake Barkley CrossFit in Kuttawa. His most cherished moments were those spent with his beloved twin brother, Sean, and the joyous times with his kids, Storm and Kaizer.

Jacob is lovingly remembered by his mother, Tina Faye Sander of Eddyville; father, Kenneth Lee Martin (Amanda) of Herod, IL; daughter, Storm Martin; his son, Kaizer Drollinger; sister, Chelsea Martin of Nashville; twin brother, Sean Martin of Eddyville; fiancée, Toni Loney; bonus kids, Draven, Scarlett, and Willow; maternal grandmother, Wendy Keefer (Damon) of Troy, IL; paternal grandmother, Peggy Bland of Galconda, IL; great-grandmother, Dorothy Lawrence; Nita Oden, who was like a second mom; several aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, John Sander; paternal grandfather, Kenneth Martin; great-grandfather Bobby Jo Lawrence; great-grandmother, Dema Short; aunt, Tammy Sander; bonus grandparents, Royce and Marie Burchett; bonus aunt, Rita Burchett.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Friday, December 27, 2024, at Morgan’s Funeral Home and from 10:00 am until service time on Saturday at Northside Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 pm Saturday, December 28, 2024, at Northside Baptist Church with Bro. Harrell Riley officiating.
