A single-vehicle wreck on Interstate 69 in Caldwell County over the weekend claimed the life of a Kuttawa man.
According to Sheriff Don Weedman, the wreck occurred on I-69 southbound at the 76-mile marker on Sunday. He said the investigation revealed that 25-year-old Jacob Martin’s car veered off the right side of the highway for an unknown reason, struck an embankment, spun, and then rolled onto its roof. He said Martin was ejected from the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Caldwell County deputies were assisted on the scene by the Princeton Fire Department, AmeriPro EMS, the Caldwell County Coroner, the Kentucky State Police, and the Kentucky State Highway Department.
