12-20-23-arrest-1

A Marion woman was charged with promoting contraband and drug possession after she was arrested on a warrant over the weekend.

Assistant Princeton Police Chief Shane Allison reports 49-year-old Shannon Miller was taken into custody around 2:00 Saturday afternoon at Casey’s General Store on an active Caldwell County bench warrant for failure to pay or appear on a 2023 misdemeanor case.

He stated that as Miller was being booked into the Caldwell County Jail, she denied possessing any illicit items to both officers and jail staff. However, police said a small baggie of meth was found hidden under the lining of her purse.

Miller was additionally charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance and first-degree promoting contraband.
