Debra G. Peters, affectionately known as Debbie, age 69 of Princeton, passed away on January 8, 2025, at the Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center in Paducah, KY. Born on August 30, 1956, in Princeton, she was the beloved daughter of the late James and Jane Creekmur.
Debbie enjoyed a successful career as a SIG Operator, retiring from Treehouse Private Bands in Princeton. However, her proudest accomplishments were being a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Her cherished husband, Stevie Peters, stood by her side through the years, sharing countless memories along with their daughters, Stephanie Smith of Paducah and Kimberly Greer (Travis) of Princeton.
She took great joy in her role as a grandmother, nurturing her grandchildren: Kyle Pleasant (Kenzie), Audrey Goodman (Justin), Jordan Cummins, Kasie Cummins, Keegan Cummins, Peyton Smith, Kamryn Smith, Lillie Greer, Morgan Jo Greer, Jase Smith and Virginia Dukes. She was also a proud great-grandmother to Kennedy Goodman, Karlee Goodman, along with several nieces and nephews, who brought her immense joy.
Debbie treasured her family ties, which extended to her brothers, Anthony Creekmur (Debbie), David Creekmur (Cindy), and Terry Brent Creekmur (Reda), all of whom reside in Princeton and St. Charles, Kentucky. Debbie’s love for her brothers was a cornerstone of her life.
Debbie was a member of Cedar Bluff Baptist Church of Princeton and let it be made known that she loved Jesus. She also loved spending time at the lake, watching the barges run by. She also had an appreciation and a love for flowers.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 9, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., followed by a funeral service at 2:00 p.m. at Goodman Funeral Home, located at 1032 West Main St, Princeton, Kentucky with Bro. Mark Faughn officiating. Burial will follow at McGregor Cemetery.
Debbie G. Peters will be fondly remembered for her nurturing spirit, love for her family, and the joy she brought into the lives of those around her. Her legacy of love will continue to inspire all who knew her.
