Lois “Yvonne” Darnell, 74, of Princeton, passed on January 8, 2025, at Baptist Health Paducah.
Born on March 10, 1950, in Caldwell County, Kentucky to her late parents, Kayless Major and Thelma Gladys Ramsey Noel. Yvonne dedicated much of her life to providing tender care and support as a private caregiver, touching the lives of those she aided with her loving nature. Faith played a central role in her life as a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church, where her voice lifted others in praise, echoing her heart’s devotion. Yvonne found great joy in singing Christian songs on her karaoke machine at home. “Sissy,” her beloved dachshund, was a cherished companion. Yvonne’s love for her “Sissy” and all dogs shone through in every aspect of her life, showcasing her generous and loving heart.
She is survived by her daughter, Melissa Darnell (Maxie Lee) of Princeton; four sisters, Wanda Patton of Princeton, Carolyn Lowery of Princeton, Barbara Noel of Lakeland, FL, Linda Marshall (Thomas) of Caldwell County; two grandchildren, Jennifer McCain (Jon) of Kuttawa, Cameron Doles (Jacee) of Sturgis.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Otis Wayne Darnell; sister, Doris Johnson; five brothers, Eddie Noel, James Dale Noel, Kenneth Noel, Ronald W. “Ronnie” Noel, Charles Louard Noel.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 15, 2025 at Morgan’s Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until service time on Wednesday, January 15, 2025 at Morgan’s Funeral Home.
