CCMS Shines at Kentucky Junior Beta State Convention

Caldwell County Middle School’s National Beta members are celebrating their achievements at the Kentucky Junior Beta State Convention, where they excelled in individual and club competitions, paving the way for national-level participation this summer.

School officials announced the individual winners of the competitions are: Preston Anderson secured 1st place in 8th Grade Computer Science, Peyton Lanham earned 2nd place in 6th Grade Computer Science, Ava Mimms achieved 4th place in 6th Grade Spelling, Jacob Rea took 4th place in 7th Grade US History, and Ellie Bailey claimed 3rd place in Performing Arts Solo Duo Trio Dancers, also being selected as a premier performer.

The middle school’s club winners at the convention included a 5th place finish in Club Trading Pin and a 4th place achievement in Songfest.

According to school officials, the National Beta State Convention allows students the chance to participate in a variety of individual and team competitions, as well as opportunities to run for leadership positions. Officials said these victories at the state level open the door to competing at the national level. The National Convention is scheduled to take place at the Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center in Orlando, Florida, this summer.
