A Princeton man arrested last week in connection to a string of thefts from vehicles in the Country Club and Greenspoint area is facing additional charges.

Assistant Princeton Police Chief Shane Allison reported that 20-year-old Bryce Ketchey was initially charged with receiving stolen property – a firearm, possession of a controlled substance, prescription not in proper container, theft of a controlled substance, receiving stolen property over $500, possession of marijuana, and other violations.

Additionally, Ketchey has been charged with fraudulent use of a credit card, seventeen counts of theft by unlawful taking – contents from vehicles, three counts of theft by unlawful taking – firearms, first-degree criminal mischief, theft of a controlled substance, and possession of meth.

Ketchey was taken into custody Friday morning after police responded to a theft complaint on Holly Lane and eventually made a traffic stop on a suspicious vehicle driven by Ketchey. During a search of the vehicle, officers reportedly found several items stolen from vehicles linked to thefts on Wednesday and Friday, including purses, wallets, money, credit cards, vehicle keys, and handguns.

According to Allison, the investigation is ongoing and more charges are expected.

Ketchey remains lodged in the Caldwell County Jail.
