Domestic Call Leads to Arrest of Princeton Woman and Grand Rivers Man

A Princeton woman and a Grand Rivers man have been charged following a weekend incident in Caldwell County.

Caldwell County Sheriff Don Weedman reports deputies were sent to I-69 and the 79-mile marker just south of Princeton on Sunday to an alleged domestic in progress.

Upon arrival and further investigation, Chief Deputy Stacy Blackburn arrested 41-year-old Dustin Payne of Grand Rivers on charges of alcohol intoxication and fourth-degree assault.

In addition, Deputy Ashley Copeland arrested and charged 45-year-old Amanda Cansler of Princeton with second-degree possession of a controlled substance – suboxone and fourth-degree assault.

Both Payne and Cansler were lodged in the Caldwell County Jail.
