Stella Yuvonne Riley Lindsey, age 75, of Dawson Springs born on March 7, 1949, in Hopkins County, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on February 4, 2025, at Tradewater Health & Rehab Center in Dawson Springs, Kentucky. She was a member of Daysprings Assembly of God. Stella was a beloved mother, sister, grandmother, and friend, leaving behind a legacy of love that will forever resonate in the hearts of those who knew her. She was a beacon of warmth and kindness throughout her life.
Stella’s spirit was illuminated by the love she shared with her family. She is survived by her son, Dan Riley of Kyle, Texas, who will carry forward her legacy of compassion and strength. Stella also leaves behind her devoted siblings: brothers Rodney Riley of Dawson Springs and Charles Riley of Greenville, KY, and her sister, Janice Suttle of St. Charles, Kentucky. Together, they shared countless memories, ensuring that Stella’s warmth and laughter will echo through their lives.
As a grandmother, Stella found immeasurable joy in her grandchild, Angela Riley, She nurtured her family with the same unwavering love and support she had cultivated throughout her life, always making time for laughter and stories that would keep the family bond alive.
Stella was preceded in death by her loving husband, Denver Lindsey, whose memory she cherished dearly. She was also preceded in death by her son, Randell Lee Phelps, her sister, Teresa “Sam” Vanover, as well as her parents, Imogene and Archie Riley.
In her honor, a visitation will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2025, from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM, followed by a Memorial Service at Goodman Funeral Home located at 1032 West Main St, Princeton, KY 42445. Family and friends are invited to come together to celebrate Stella’s incredible life, share stories, and find comfort in each other as they remember her gentle spirit. Burial at Kentucky Veteran’s Cemetery West to take place Monday, February 17, 2025, at 11 am.
Stella Yuvonne Riley Lindsey will be profoundly missed but never forgotten. Her life was a remarkable tapestry of love, laughter, and resilience, and she will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
