Robert “Yankee” DeHaven, age 42, of Greenville was born on May 27, 1982, in Columbia City, IN, and passed away peacefully on February 6, 2025, at Baptist Health in Madisonville. Kentucky. He leaves behind a rich legacy marked by his dedication to family, friends, and the passions that fueled his life.
A committed truck driver by profession, Robert was known for his strong work ethic and reliability on the road. Beyond his career, he embraced life with a spirit of adventure. He served as the Road Captain of the Iron Horsemen, where he formed deep bonds with his fellow brothers. Robert enjoyed the beauty of the outdoors, often spending his time hunting, fishing, and riding with his brothers. He was also known to enjoy playing slot machines, adding a touch of excitement to his leisure activities.
Robert’s love for family was the cornerstone of his life. He is survived by his devoted wife Elizabeth DeHaven and his beloved children, Kenneth DeHaven, Caleb Jernigan, Hali DeHaven, Lilly Alvey, and Mary Alvey. He also leaves behind his mother Sandy Fields and stepdad Kenny “Pops” Fields, along with his sisters Tina Nettrouer and Amanda Basham.
Robert was preceded by his father, Carl DeHaven, and his biological mother Jaunita Smithers.
In his honor, a visitation will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2025, from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM, followed by a Memorial Service at Goodman Funeral Home located at 1032 West Main St, Princeton, KY 42445.
Robert “Yankee” DeHaven will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His spirit of camaraderie, zest for life, and unwavering love for his family will continue to inspire those he leaves behind.
