Flooding continues to wreak havoc in Caldwell and Lyon counties, leading to numerous road closures and a vehicle rescue, as officials warn of worsening road conditions with falling temperatures.
According to Princeton Public Works Director Chris Pool, high water is blocking several streets in town.

He said the water has receded in the 800 block of Seminary Street and the road has reopened. He asks that residents be patient as they are doing all they can to reopen roads.
Caldwell County Emergency Management Director Joey McCaslin reported that a woman had to be rescued from a vehicle after it veered off the road into high water on KY 91 near Crider around 2:45 Sunday morning.
click to download audioWhile the high water is gradually receding from several county roads, some may still be impassable. McCaslin said drivers need to use caution when traveling around the county for the next few days.
Meanwhile, officials from the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet reported as of 1:00 the following roads are blocked by high water:
KY 91 at KY 2080
KY 91 at the 17.9 mile marker
KY 126 at the 1 mile marker near Trigg County
KY 139 at the 14.3 mile marker
Officials indicate that KY 128 is open with high water at the 3.2-mile marker.
Meanwhile, Judge-Executive Jaime Smith said she is not aware of any water rescues or evacuations that occurred due to the flooding, but the Eddyville and Kuttawa Fire Departments responded to several accidents on the interstates Saturday and overnight due to the rainfall.
Smith said crews are working on a water issue with the Lyon County Water District.

KY 1943 is closed between the 3-4 MM near Skinframe Creek Bridge.
According to Judge Smith, county road crews were removing barricades from roads that had reopened Sunday, along with applying salt on the roads to address the snowfall from overnight and help prepare for the next snow event forecasted for Tuesday into Wednesday.
