Larry Thomas, 81, of Caldwell County

Larry Brady Thomas, 81, passed away peacefully on February 17, 2025.

Larry was born on August 20, 1943, in Mayfield, Kentucky, to the late Lloyd Thomas and Sue Thomas. He was a proud graduate of Wingo High School in Mayfield and went on to serve honorably in the United States Air Force after graduation. Following his military service, He began a long and successful career at Allied Signal, where he worked until his retirement.

Larry was a devoted family man who cherished his loved ones above all else. He is survived by his loving wife, Sandy Chalker Thomas; his three daughters, Susan Thomas, Carolyn (Thomas) Hodges, and Holly Thomas; and his two stepdaughters, Lisa Orange (Kerry Don Orange) and LeAnn Russell (Ron Russell). He was a proud grandfather to eight grandchildren: Brittany Darnall, Destiny (Darnall) Hawkins (Dustin Hawkins), Laken Darnall, Austin Thomas, Nicholas Hodges, Sydney Hodges, Emily Hodges, and Caiden Cardwell; and four step-grandchildren: Bristin (Russell) Young (Wes Young), Clay Orange (Alexis), Riley Orange, and AshtynRussell. He also leaves behind six great-grandchildren, who brought him immense joy.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Sue Thomas, and his brother, Richard Thomas.

Visitation services will be held from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Sunday, February 23, at Morgan’s Funeral Home in Princeton, Ky. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Easterseals: 801 N 29th Street, Paducah, KY 42001, in his memory.

Larry will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, and unwavering love for his family. His legacy of strength and compassion will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
