A total of 29 U-Haul® centers, including 18 in Kentucky, are offering 30 days of free self-storage and U-Box® container usage to residents impacted by the recent severe flooding.
For the News Edge listening area, this includes stores in Owensboro and Evansville, Indiana, as well as three locations in Bowling Green, two in Clarksville, two in Nashville, and one in Oak Grove.
U-Haul® officials are cognizant of a massive winter weather front that generated considerably intense flash flooding, with countless homes and businesses damaged and left with covered roads and power outages.
Kentucky has declared a state of emergency, and U-Haul® believes access to dry and secure self-storage rooms and portable containers is critical for communities during this recovery process.
This 30 days of goodwill is based on availability at participating U-Haul-owned and -operated locations. The free U-Box option is for on-site storage at centers or self-delivery, though there is a charge for U-Haul to deliver to residential addresses.
U-Haul® is an American Red Cross Disaster Responder.
