Caldwell Road Crews Tackle Snow-Covered Roads, Refreezing Expected Tonight

Crews in Caldwell County have been busy clearing roads Wednesday after an overnight winter storm left them covered in snow.

Caldwell County Road Superintendent David Waldrum reports that while they began Wednesday morning with all roads blanketed in snow, progress has been throughout the day; however, he warns that refreezing is expected this evening.

click to download audioMeanwhile, Princeton Public Works Director Chris Pool reported that road conditions in the city have improved, but also warned that temperatures will lead to refreezing after sundown.

click to download audioPool advises everyone to stay home this evening if possible. If travel is necessary, he recommends bundling up and carrying blankets and essential items in case of a breakdown or sliding off the road.
