Eva Magdalene Mitchell Watson, 85, of Princeton, passed on Wednesday, February 26, 2025 at Caldwell Medical Center.
She was born on October 4, 1939 in Caldwell County, Kentucky to her late parents, James and Ava Hamilton Mitchell. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Princeton. Eva sung in her church choir and many different trios. She was very involved in her community over the years, serving on various boards. She was also an avid bridge player and enjoyed trail riding with her family over the years. Above all else, she loved her family.
Eva is survived by her husband of 66 years, Charles Watson; son, Jeff (Debbie) Watson of Princeton; daughter, Jennifer (Cabott) Coleman of Princeton; sister, Ruth (J.C.) Collins of South Carolina; five grandchildren, Sara (David) Choate, Elizabeth (Chris) King, Charlie (Kate) Watson, Lee (Jordan) Phillips, Mitchell (Mary Elizabeth) Coleman; six great-grandchildren, Madi Choate, Brogun Choate, Westin King, Daxtin King, Chexon Phillips, Bexlee Phillips.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two sisters, Lou Martin and Janie Mitchell; brother, James Mitchell.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, February 28, 2025 at Morgan’s Funeral Home with J.C. Collins and Carroll Boyd officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Spring Cemetery in Caldwell County.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until service time on Friday, February 28, 2025 at Morgan’s Funeral Home.
