Phyllis Fidler, 88, of Kuttawa

Phyllis E. Fidler, passed away peacefully in her sleep on February 21, 2025, in Kuttawa, KY, at the age of 88. Born June 25, 1936, in Bader, IL, Phyllis’ life was a testament to kindness and a spirit filled with grace.

She is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Sandra (Ted) Shekell, and son, Gordon (Tammy) Fidler, both of Illinois; her brother, Richard Jump of Missouri; her cherished grandchildren, Allie Mendez, Garrett, Zoe, and Grant Fidler; and her adored great-grandchildren, Camila and Nova Mendez. Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband Carl and her parents, George and Adra Jump.

A voracious reader, Phyllis’ passion for books was matched only by her devotion to her family. She was quick with a laugh and was also family famous for her baking skills, which she gladly taught to her grandchildren.

Her willingness to serve at church during vacation Bible school and other events, as well as her generosity toward missions work revealed Phyllis’ love for Christ and her desire to see the gospel spread. Her legacy of love and her life of faith in Christ will continue to inspire those who knew her.

Phyllis will be greatly missed until she is reunited with her loved ones in their new heavenly home.

There will be no public services held at this time.
