Peggy Milstead, 80, of Princeton

Peggy Milstead, age 80, of Princeton, KY, passed away on March 5, 2025, at Princeton Health and Rehabilitation.

Peggy was born on October 26, 1944 in Princeton, KY to the late John Earl and Opal Mae White Vickrey. Peggy devoted over two decades of her life to serving as a Certified Medical Assistant at Highland Homes, embodying gentle kindness in every aspect of her work. Known for her deep faith, Peggy was passionate about deepening her understanding of God. She spent countless hours reading commentaries, meticulously teaching Sunday School, and joyfully working at Vacation Bible School. Her talents extended from reupholstering furniture to farming, gardening and crafts. Peggy will be lovingly remembered for raising five children with exemplary dedication. She instilled in them the virtues of love and selflessness, setting a stellar example of how to live a life filled with purpose and grace. She was a member of Eddy Creek Baptist Church in Caldwell County.

Peggy is survived by her daughters, Missey (Wayne) Orange of Caldwell County, Lisa (Darren McGregor) Milstead of Caldwell County, Amy (Richard) Cox of Princeton; sons, Ben (Kahty) Milstead of Medford, OR, Todd (Tanya) Milstead of Caldwell County; sisters, Patricia Fowler of Mayfield and Nancy Robinson of Caldwell County; 13 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.

In addition to her parents, Peggy is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Frank “Tommy” Milstead; brother, George Michael Vickrey; grandson, Christopher Orange.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm Monday, March 10, 2025, at Morgan’s Funeral Home.

Graveside services will be held at 1:30 pm Monday, March 10, 2025, at Eddy Creek Church Cemetery.

Expressions of sympathy may be made in Peggy’s memory to the Caldwell County Animal Shelter: 489 Baker Hill Road, Princeton, KY 42245.
