Princeton Man Indicted on Multiple Theft-Related Charges

The Hopkins County Grand Jury indicted a Princeton man on multiple theft-related charges during its February session.

Two separate true bills were returned on Tyler Morgan on charges of theft by failure to make required disposition of property valued at more than $1,000 but less than $10,000 in reference to a Ford truck on February 26, 2024, and an ATV and tires between April 22, 2024 and July 3, 2024.

Additionally, Morgan was indicted on another charge of theft by failure to make required disposition more than $500 but less than $1,000 between December 6, 2024 and December 13, 2024 in reference to a hunting dog.

Morgan was arrested in January after being sought by Kentucky State Police on multiple warrants out of Hopkins, Caldwell, Webster, and Union counties as well as Vanderburgh County in Indiana.

According to state police, those warrants included:

25 counts of Cruelty To Animals-2nd Degree
Multiple Traffic Violations
3 counts of Theft By Failure to Make Required Disposition of Property
Unlawful Access To Computer-1st Degree
Fleeing or Evading Police – 3rd Degree
Fraud/Theft- Value of Property (Vanderburgh County)

In addition, police reported Morgan had criminal summonses on charges of theft by deception, including cold checks, and theft by failure to make the required disposition of property.
