The Caldwell County Grand Jury returned one felony indictment and one no true bill from its March session.
A true bill was returned on Matthew Allison of Greenbrier, Tennessee on a single count of first-degree sexual abuse.
The indictment alleges that between January 1, 2021, and January 1, 2023, Allison, being twenty-one years old or more on more than two occasions, had sexual contact with a person who is less than 16 years old. The case was investigated by Kentucky State Police Post 2.
The grand jury returned a no true bill and dismissed the case against Gregory Barnett after considering charges of theft by unlawful taking over $1,000 but under $10,000 and second-degree unlawful transaction with a minor.
