Melanie Kay Lamb, age 59, of Princeton, passed away on March 10, 2025, at Lake Barkley Heath and Rehabilitation in Kuttawa, KY.
Melanie was born on October 16, 1965, in Chicago, IL to the late Charles Treeman and Dannie Pearl Wyatt Lamb. Melanie dedicated many years to nurturing her community through her various roles. She worked earnestly as a custodian for the Lyon County School District and most recently as custodian at Morgan’s Funeral Home in Princeton where she was deeply loved. Her presence was a comforting fixture at the concession stand during Caldwell County Youth Inc games, and she brought joy and dedication to her work at the Athletic Center in Princeton.
Beyond her professional contributions, Melanie was a member of Eddyville Second Baptist Church. Her leisure time was filled with the warmth of family gatherings where she cherished moments with her beloved nieces and nephews. Melanie never missed an opportunity to make new acquaintances, firmly believing that no one should remain a stranger. Her zest for life shone through in her hobbies, which included playing bingo, engaging in card games with friends, and exploring new places. Moreover, her culinary skills and baked treasures were the highlight of many gatherings.
Survivors include her two sisters, Diane Lane of Princeton and Pat Bassett of Paducah; brother, Charles (Lynn) Lamb of Princeton; bonus son, Josh Thomas; several precious nieces and nephews; four-legged child, Luna.
In addition to her parents, Melanie is preceded in death by her brothers, Ronnie and Kenny Lamb.
Visitation for Melanie Lamb will be held on Friday, March 14, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Lakeland Funeral Home in Eddyville, KY.
Funeral services will follow at 1:00 PM at Lakeland Funeral Home with Bro. Ronnie Sivells officiating. Burial will follow in Rolling Hills Cemetery in Eddyville, KY.
