
An Eddyville man is facing drug possession charges following a traffic stop in Livingston County.
The Livingston County Sheriff’s office reported that a deputy stopped 41-year-old Hushton Burton on US 60 West in the Ledbetter community on Wednesday.
During the stop, the deputy reportedly discovered that Burton had four active warrants for his arrest out of Marshall, McCracken and Caldwell counties.
Authorities said a further investigation revealed that Burton was in possession of a small quantity of suspected meth, Suboxone strips, and drug paraphernalia.
In addition to the outstanding warrants, Burton was taken into custody and charged with his second offense for first-degree possession of a controlled substance – methamphetamine, second-degree possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was lodged in the McCracken County Jail.
