Patricia Scott, 88, of Princeton

Patricia Ann Scott, passed away peacefully on March 19, 2025, at the age of 88, in the caring environment of Princeton Health and Rehabilitation. Born on March 12, 1937, in Russellville, Kentucky, her early years laid the foundation for a life filled with music and education. She was the cherished daughter of the late Wylie Haydon and Mamie Jenkins Boren and grew up alongside her brother, Robert Price Boren, who preceded her in death.

Patricia retired as the attendance secretary for the Caldwell County Middle School. However, it was her role as a piano teacher that truly defined her. For over 60 years, she taught thousands of local students how to play the piano, always with patience and grace, and treated each one with the same level of respect and encouragement. Her influence extended beyond individual lessons as she accompanied the Caldwell County band student at the Solo and Ensemble Instrumental Competitions, sharing her gift of music with the wider community.

Patricia was a devoted member of the First Baptist Church of Princeton where she regularly played the piano and organ, sang in the choir and taught Sunday school.. Her faith was an integral part of her life, and she lived it out loud through her music and her actions.

Patricia Ann Scott is survived by her two daughters, Patti (Jack) Blackburn of Princeton and Lauri (Bob) Cronin of Paducah; her two grandchildren, Scott (Becka) Blackburn and Katie (Michael) Cannon; and her two great-grandchildren, Clark Cannon and Byron Cannon. Patricia also leaves behind several nieces and nephews, each of whom held a special place in her heart.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, and teacher, who saw the potential in everyone and worked tirelessly to help them achieve it. Her warm smile and gentle guidance will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
