
A Princeton woman was charged with DUI and drug possession after a one-vehicle wreck on Linton Way Tuesday morning.
Assistant Princeton Police Chief Shane Allison reported when officers responded ot the wreck shortly after 12:20 a.m. they found a car in a ditch on the eastbound side of Linton Way.
According to officers, an investigation revealed that the wreck occurred when 27-year-old Falynn Williams was driving west on Linton Way and lost control of her car. Upon further investigation, officers said they determined Williams was under the influence of intoxicants and found her in possession of pills that were later identified as a Schedule 4 controlled substance.
Williams was taken into custody and charged with DUI, operating on a suspended license, expired registration plates, failure to notify address change to the Department of Transportation, no insurance, and third-degree possession of a controlled substance.
As Williams was being processed at the Caldwell County Jail, police said she was found with more pills hidden in her clothes. She was additionally charged with first-degree promoting contraband.
