The Princeton-Caldwell City-County Park Board has announced a new executive director has been hired to fill the position vacated by Stephanie Stallins who recently resigned.
Board Chair and Princeton Mayor Brock says Elizabeth King will fill the position.
Audio Playerclick to download audioKing told WPKY’s News Edge that she is a Caldwell County native, a former educator in the Caldwell County School District and served as the supervisor at the City-County Park during the 2023 and 2024 seasons.
Audio Playerclick to download audioShe said that when the job became available, she saw it as the perfect opportunity to apply. King expressed her love for the City-County Park and shared her plans for its future, starting with the park’s opening on Memorial Day weekend. She aims to organize various tournaments and activities with the current park facilities.
Audio PlayerKing also said that she would like to include other fun activities, such as face painting, for the opening weekend.
King noted this is a full-time seasonal position but they are hoping to bring back the co-ed softball league that would run through October.

King has been married to Chris for 25 years in July and they have two sons, a 13-year-old and an almost 16-year-old.
