The Fredonia Valley Heritage Society and Fredonia American Legion Post 103 will honor Vietnam War Veterans with a special service at 1:00 Saturday afternoon at the Fredonia Valley Veterans Memorial.

According to Pam Faughn, all Vietnam War Veterans will receive a commemorative challenge coin in their honor. The service will also feature a flyover by an Air Evac helicopter, and one of the speakers will be J.T. Travis, a veteran who served two tours of duty in Vietnam.

She said that additional gifts, including an engraved brick to be placed at the Fredonia Valley Veterans Memorial, will be given away through a drawing. Faughn also noted that bricks, priced at $50 each, and Fredonia Valley Veterans Memorial Challenge Coins, priced at $25 each, will be available for purchase. For each coin sold, she noted they can provide a free coin to a veteran.

Faughn invited all Vietnam War Veterans to attend the service, and reminded attendees to bring their own chairs.
