Two adults, a child, and a teenager were taken to the hospital after a three-vehicle wreck in Princeton over the weekend.

Assistant Princeton Police Chief Shane Allision reported the wreck occurred shortly after 9:30 Saturday morning at the intersection of U.S. 62 and Baldwin Avenue.

According to the investigation, 32-year-old Marion Ivanez from Princeton and 61-year-old Eugene Hook from Clay were both stopped in separate vehicles, one behind the other, on US 62 because of two dogs on the road. Police said a third vehicle driven by 52-year-old Jennifer Caudill from Princeton was also traveling east on US 62, but failed to stop and collided with the rear of Hook’s vehicle, colliding with the rear of Ivanez’s SUV. Officers reported that Caudill stated she didn’t see the taillights and was unable to stop before crashing into Hook’s vehicle.

Police said Caudill and Hook’s passenger, 13-year-old Marjorie Hook, of Princeton, were transported by ambulance to Caldwell Medical Center for possible injuries, while Caudill’s 6-year-old passenger, Adalyn Beeman of Princeton, was taken to the local hospital by private vehicle. Hook was reportedly transported by ambulance to Baptist Health for possible injuries.

Officers were assisted on the scene by AmeriPro EMS, Crittenden County EMS, and Princeton Fire Department.
