A Princeton man was arrested on a drug possession charge and a Hopkins County warrant after a complaint about a reckless driver on Friday.

According to Assistant Princeton Police Chief Shane Allison, 60-year-old Robert Cline was pulled over on Center Street shortly before 7:30 Friday night following the complaint.

During the stop, police said Cline admitted to not having a driver’s license. Officers also reported they saw a baggie of suspected meth in the vehicle at Cline’s feet.

Cline was arrested and charged with possession of meth, no insurance, and license to be in possession. Police said Cline also had an active Hopkins County Bench Warrant for failure to appear on a misdemeanor offense. He was booked into the Caldwell County Jail.
